POSITION PURPOSE
Reporting to the Director of Tour & Travel, the Tour Consultant will assist in building and booking tour itineraries for groups in North America, as well as booking flights and buses for NCAA teams and individuals.
- Building tour packages for groups throughout North America, including ground transportation, accommodation, meals and excursions
- Accompanying groups in a Tour Director role
- Managing accounts and booking travel for multiple clients, including NCAA D1 teams
- Pursuing new event accommodation and travel business
- Leisure travel sales, including Disney / Universal Resorts and Cruises
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Liaise with superiors to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals
- Work with members of the international and domestic travel team to create efficiencies and growth within the team
- Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements
- Oversee customer support processes and organize them to enhance customer satisfaction
- Learn and expand offerings within the company including internal operational tools like Slack, ClickUp, and Hubspot
- Manage relationships/agreements with external partners/vendors
- Evaluate overall performance by gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data and metrics
- Other duties as required
Requirements
- Communication skills, both written and verbal
- Highly organized individual
- Basic computer skills (primarily Google Docs and Sheets
- Ability to travel internationally
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Passion for sports and travel
